Newly created permanent position due to growth and increased acquisition activity within this major Financial Services Group.
  
Focused systems change, platform integrations and new business onboarding, this is a great role for an Accountant that loves technology. You will be involved in protecting accounting and ledger errors, ensuring that new processes are implemented into the BAU. This position involves providing technical insight to ensure operational accounting processes remain robust.
  
Key Responsibilities:
  

• Lead investigation of accounting issues raised by the finance teams.
• Analyse ledger activity, including data issues and missing journals.
• Partner with technology and change teams to ensure errors are corrected.
• Act as the representative on new business initiatives.
• Review and challenge accounting controls and reconciliations.
• Translate system changes into the finance operations processes.
• Support UAT documentation and handover into BAU.

  
Experience Needed:
  

• Part of fully qualified accountant.
• Experience in financial operations and accounting reconciliations processes.
• Ability to analyse large data sets and understand ledger behaviour.
• Experience working with finance technology or change teams on systems integrations or transformations.
• Strong stakeholder influencing skills and the confidence to challenge.
• A continuous improvement mindset with a commitment to operational excellence.
