Transactions Supervisor, Construction, c£50,000 plus benefits (days in the office)
Newly created role for a fast-growing Construction family-owned business.

Transaction Management

• Supervise daily finance operations, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and bank reconciliations
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices, subcontractor payments, and customer billing
• Oversee weekly payment runs and ensure appropriate authorisation controls are followed
• Monitor cash flow positions and escalate risks or issues promptly

Construction-Specific Financial Activities

• Manage subcontractor payments, including CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) deductions and reporting (if UK-based)
• Ensure accurate cost allocation to projects and alignment with job costing systems
• Support applications for payment, retention tracking, and variation billing
• Liaise with project managers and quantity surveyors to resolve billing or cost discrepancies

Stakeholder Management

• Build strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams
• Resolve payment queries and disputes in a professional and timely manner
• Support senior finance leadership with reporting and analysis as required

We are looking for a candidate with proven experience in a finance transactions or supervisory role. Strong knowledge of AP, AR, and bank reconciliations specifically in the construction, engineering, or project-based environments. Understanding of CIS is essential.
