We're excited to be hiring for a fantastic role within a fast-growing communications agency that sits as part of one of the biggest names in media and marketing. This is a 12‑month fixed term contract where you'll work closely with the Finance Controller and have a dotted reporting line into the Commercial Finance Director. You'll be part of a team of eight, focused on delivering accurate and timely financial reporting.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of month‑end and quarter‑end close, including reviewing and analysing the trial balance, P&L, and balance sheet
• Prepare and post month‑end journals
• Carry out variance analysis on financial statements, providing clear and insightful commentary
• Reconcile key balance sheet accounts, producing detailed schedules and robust supporting documentation
• Manage monthly intercompany reconciliations and reporting
• Maintain the Fixed Asset Register
• Support cashflow forecasting
• Contribute to continuous process improvements, working with the wider finance team to enhance accuracy and efficiency
• Analyse financial statements and confidently present findings to department heads and other stakeholders

Skills and Qualifications:

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA finalist or newly qualified
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and interpret the financial impact of information provided
• Experience managing processes with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring efficiency and effective collaboration
• Proven ability to maintain accuracy in financial records
• Background in a large group environment, ideally within media, marketing, or advertising, would be an advantage
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills
