Project Manager  – Heavy Civil & Roadway Construction | Georgia

A leading Georgia-based heavy civil contractor is looking for an experienced Project Manager / Superintendent to oversee GDOT and municipal roadway projects across the metro Atlanta area and surrounding regions. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys being in the field, managing production, and taking full ownership of project delivery.

About the Role
You’ll manage all aspects of heavy civil and roadway construction projects, from scheduling and budgets to safety and field operations. The ideal person is equally comfortable running crews on-site and managing client expectations in the office. You’ll work closely with engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams to keep projects on track and maintain the highest quality standards.

What You’ll Do

• Lead project planning, scheduling, and field execution
• Supervise and mentor foremen, crews, and subcontractors
• Monitor budgets, cost controls, and progress reports
• Ensure full compliance with GDOT and municipal specifications
• Maintain safety, quality, and productivity targets
• Build strong working relationships with clients and design partners

What You Bring

• 7+ years of experience managing roadway, infrastructure, or civil projects
• Proven background with GDOT projects and standards
• Ability to manage both office and field operations
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in MS Project and project management tools (HCSS experience a plus)
• Track record of reliability, long-term project commitment, and results

Location: Based around Metro Atlanta, with regional GDOT projects across Georgia.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, full-time, no weekend work.
