We’re seeking experienced Survey CAD Technicians and a CAD Manager, to join their DFW team. 100% office-based in Denton, TX, with plans to relocate the office to South Lake next year. This technical role is crucial for high-profile heavy civil projects, focusing on creating DOT plans and converting them into 3D models for machine control and field use.

Key Responsibilities:

• Re3D Modeling & Plan Production: Create DOT plans and convert design specifications into accurate, constructible 3D models using Trimble Business Center (TBC).
• Survey Data Processing: Process raw field survey data, verify measurements and calculations, and maintain accurate field notes and survey records.
• Technical Deliverables: Generate staking files, analyze blueprints/sketches, and produce final drawings, ensuring precision and adherence to company CAD standards.
• Construction Issue Resolution: Act as a responsive problem-solver, quickly addressing field construction issues with viable solutions in collaboration with the construction team.
• Field Coordination & Management (Leadership Focus): Possess the ability to lead and supervise field crews, assist the Survey Manager with data verification, schedule crews, assign tasks, and uphold Safety standards.
• Equipment & Software Proficiency: Maintain proficiency with survey equipment (GPS, Total Stations, Data Collectors, Machine Control) and software (Trimble, Microsoft Office, Bluebeam).
• Collaboration & Mentorship: Work effectively with field and office team members, subcontractors, and management, acting as a mentor (especially if stepping into the Manager role).
• Site Awareness (Hands-On Requirement): Be prepared to work outdoors occasionally to conduct physical site surveys and verify data/measurements in a construction environment.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years as a CAD Tech, specifically with Civil Construction projects (DOT, heavy highway, bridge, railroad, dams).
• Must have worked within a self-performing construction firm, on TXDOT related projects.
• Software Proficiency: Trimble, Microsoft, Bluebeam.
• Key Skills: Creating DOT plans and converting them to 3D models. Ability to read/identify plans quickly.
• Proficiency with survey equipment (GPS, Robotic Total Stations, Data Collectors, Machine Control, Digital Levels) ideal
