Role: Spring Coating Systems
Location: 100% Remote (must be able to travel anywhere in the US).
 
Job Description:
We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Distillation Equipment Technician to ensure the optimal performance, maintenance, and reliability of distillation and flexo platemaking systems installed at our customers throughout North America.
 
In this role, you will be responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical issues, and performing hands-on equipment servicing.
 
This position requires a willingness to travel three to four days per week. You will receive a company credit card and per diem.
Candidates will be doing new installations of distillation systems and maintenance of systems.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Equipment Installation, Maintenance & Servicing: Install new systems, perform routine and preventative maintenance on distillation units, and service and repair units as needed.
• Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Quickly identify and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and operational issues using strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Controls & Electrical Support: Work directly with heating systems and pump controls to ensure accurate temperature regulation, fluid flow, and overall system efficiency and safety.
• Quality & Safety Compliance: Follow strict safety guidelines and operational protocols while handling industrial equipment and maintenance tools. Train operators on the use of equipment.

Qualifications & Required Skills

• Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of heating systems, pump controls, and industrial mechanical/electrical operations.
• Diagnostic Skills: Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions efficiently. Electrical panel and circuit diagnostics.
• Hands-On Work Ethic: Willingness to perform physically demanding maintenance tasks, including equipment cleaning, tank clearing, installation, and repairs (Confined Space certification will be required).

Experience:
Prior experience working with industrial machinery, distillation equipment, pumps, or heating controls is strongly preferred.

The right candidate will receive a competitive salary with a per diem allowance and mileage reimbursement for professional travel.
