Role: Large Press Brake Operator.
Location: Cleveland, OH (On-site).

Job Description:
The operator will set up and run large industrial press brakes to form heavy plate and fabricated metal components.

The operation includes six press brakes ranging from 90 to 2,500 tons, with capacity for plate from approximately one-quarter inch to six inches thick and lengths up to 59 feet.
 
Key responsibilities:

• Set up and operate large hydraulic press brakes.
• Form carbon steel, stainless steel, alloys, and aluminum to blueprint specifications.
• Select tooling and calculate bend sequence, angle, radius, and allowance.
• Read fabrication drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
• Inspect finished parts using tape measures, squares, calipers, and related tools.
• Verify dimensions, tolerances, and material identification.
• Use cranes and material-handling equipment safely when moving heavy plate.
• Perform routine equipment checks and report maintenance or quality issues.
• Follow all shop, lifting, and machine-safety procedures.
• Coordinate with fabrication, welding, and quality teams.

Required qualifications:

• Documented experience setting up and operating large-bed or heavy-plate press brakes.
• Strong blueprint reading and layout skills.
• Knowledge of bend calculations, tooling selection, and forming sequences.
• Experience with heavy-gauge plate and high-tonnage equipment.
• Ability to verify dimensions and hold required tolerances.
• Reliable work history and ability to work safely in a heavy-fabrication environment.
