Job Description:
Seeking a CNC Machinist with hands-on experience programming, setting up, and machining precision parts.
This role requires the ability to take a part from drawing or model through finished inspection, including CAM programming, stock sizing, fixturing, and verification of tight-tolerance features.
Key Responsibilities:
Write and modify CAM programs using Fusion 360 or Mastercam.
Review engineering drawings and CAD models to determine machining requirements.
Specify stock dimensions and machining allowances for each part.
Select tooling and establish machining sequences, speeds, and feeds.
Set up fixtures and secure parts for accurate, repeatable machining.
Set up and operate CNC equipment, making adjustments as needed.
Measure tight-tolerance features on finished parts using appropriate precision inspection tools.
Troubleshoot programming, setup, and dimensional issues to ensure parts meet specifications.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Required Qualifications:
Practical experience in CNC machining, setup, and CAM programming.
Proficiency with Fusion 360 or Mastercam.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, dimensions, and tolerances.
Experience determining stock requirements and selecting effective workholding methods.
Ability to use micrometers, calipers, indicators, and other precision measuring instruments.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to troubleshoot machining challenges independently.
