Role: Bookkeeper
Location: League City, TX (100% onsite).
 
Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records.

The ideal candidate will have strong bookkeeping experience using both QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.
 
Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Process invoices, payments, and customer receipts.
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Maintain the general ledger and journal entries.
• Process payroll and payroll tax filings (if applicable).
• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Track expenses and maintain accurate financial records.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare documentation for CPA and tax filings.
• Maintain vendor and customer records.
• Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop (required).
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and GAAP.
• Experience with bank reconciliations, AP, AR, and general ledger accounting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and time management abilities.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.
• Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in processing payroll.
• Experience with sales tax reporting.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
• Experience working in a small business environment.
