The opportunity
Our client is seeking a dedicated and career-oriented Senior Building Surveyor to join their expanding team in Bristol. The role involves working across various sectors, including public buildings and estates, residential and housing, education, retail, healthcare and commercial. Responsibilities include delivering new and existing projects, actively contributing to key client development, managing and developing the team, and driving growth.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a highly motivated Building Surveyor to help develop a section of the existing team in their Bristol office while being supported by the Building Surveying partners in Bristol and an established multi-disciplinary practice.
- Hands on delivery of building surveying services with bias to project work
- Leading projects often co-ordinating in house multi-discipline design services
- Client management and development
- Mentoring junior members of the team
- Technical reviews to manage the quality of services
The candidate We’re looking for an engaging and passionate individual with a hunger to drive their business forward in the Bristol region. A natural leader with the necessary technical capability, you will be confident in your ability to support a section of the team, develop new business and build on existing accounts.
Requirements;
- MRICS
- Consultancy experience, preferably with public sector project experience
- Be commercially minded with an enthusiasm for winning work and business development
- Be able to manage your own workload
- Capable of managing individual team members, organising their work where necessary and providing guidance on projects
- Good communication and client facing skills
- A positive ‘can-do’ attitude
- Excellent all-round technical building surveying knowledge
- An analytical mind with a high level of intellect - combining excellent written and oral skills to produce considered and robust reports and recommendations
