Parts Counter Professional — Where Technical Know-How Meets Great Customer Service
This role may also be known as: Parts Advisor, Parts Associate, Counter Sales Representative
Join a busy automotive parts department where every day brings a new puzzle to solve and a new customer to help get back on the road. You'll be the go-to person customers and technicians count on to track down exactly the right part — fast. This is a role for someone who genuinely enjoys the mix of technical know-how and people skills, and who wants to work somewhere that actually invests in its team. From RRSP matching to education reimbursement to a vehicle purchase program, this employer treats its parts counter staff like the core of the business, not an afterthought.
What sets this apart from a typical parts counter posting is the internal growth path. This is a team-oriented environment where tenure and performance are rewarded with real promotion opportunities from within, not just a paycheck. You'll have autonomy at the counter, exposure to a wide range of parts and accessory requests, and the stability of an established dealership operation behind you.
What You'll Be Doing
- Help customers and technicians track down the right parts, accessories, and special orders
- Manage phone inquiries and walk-in traffic with efficient, high-quality service
- Source and fill orders when items are out of stock
- Organize outgoing orders for shipping, delivery, or pickup
- Stock incoming parts and keep the department organized and easy to navigate
What We're Looking For - Solid technical knowledge of automotive parts
- Comfort working within an inventory management system
- Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to sell
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Automotive parts experience (1-3 years) is an asset but not required
Compensation & Work Model Compensation ranges from $40,000 to $60,000, based on experience. This is an onsite, in-person role. 2 weeks vacation, health and dental benefits, RRSP option
Location & Travel Based in Oakville, Ontario. No travel requirements identified for this position.
