We’re hiring an Electrical Estimator for a well-established electrical contractor seeking a detail-oriented professional to independently prepare accurate and competitive estimates across a broad mix of commercial and industrial projects. You’ll own assigned estimates from takeoff through submission while partnering with an experienced estimating team in a collaborative, high-performance environment.
This is an ideal role for someone who wants autonomy in their work, meaningful project exposure, and a clear path toward senior estimating growth.
What You'll Be Doing
• Prepare complete and accurate electrical cost estimates for assigned projects
• Perform takeoffs from blueprints, drawings, one-lines, and specifications
• Use ConEst or comparable software to calculate labor, material, and time costs
• Utilize Bluebeam to quantify and mark up electronic project documents
• Evaluate self-perform vs. subcontractor decisions for labor/material scopes
• Determine quantities and pricing for major electrical materials and systems
• Support bid strategy through financial feasibility and profitability analysis
• Submit competitive project bids aligned with company standards and deadlines
• Update cost databases and maintain current labor/material pricing data
• Monitor market trends to ensure pricing accuracy and competitiveness
What We're Looking For
• 5+ years of electrical estimating experience in commercial or industrial contracting
• Strong proficiency in ConEst or similar estimating software
• Experience with Bluebeam and Microsoft Office
• Ability to independently read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications
• Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA, UL, and related electrical standards
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and customer service orientation
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
Compensation & Work Model
USD $105,000 – $130,000 annually
Relocation assistance available for the right candidate
