We’re hiring a Chief Electrical Estimator for a highly respected electrical contractor seeking an executive-level leader to own the estimating function and help drive the next stage of company growth. This is a high-visibility strategic role where you’ll lead the estimating team, sharpen bid strategy, improve estimating systems, and partner directly with executive leadership on market positioning and business decisions.

What You'll Be Doing
• Lead, coach, and develop the estimating team to improve performance and accountability
• Oversee the full estimating process across all bid projects
• Ensure accurate, complete, and competitive pricing on all estimates
• Review bid strategy and present estimating packages to executive leadership
• Maintain and improve ConEst database accuracy and estimating processes
• Forecast future awards/probabilities and support strategic pipeline planning
• Negotiate pricing, define project scope, and build strong client relationships
• Provide conceptual budgeting guidance using historical data and labor unit rates
• Partner with leadership on workforce planning, talent development, and succession planning
• Drive continuous improvement across estimating systems, processes, and team effectiveness
What We're Looking For
• 10+ years of electrical estimating experience in commercial or industrial electrical contracting
• 15+ years of progressive electrical contracting/construction experience overall
• Proven experience leading and developing estimating teams
• Deep hands-on experience with ConEst or comparable computerized estimating software
• Strong business development and client relationship management experience
• Exceptional negotiation and pricing strategy capabilities
• Strong financial acumen and operational discipline
• Experience in a fast-paced, growth-oriented construction environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Construction Management preferred
Compensation & Work Model
USD $120,000–$150,000 annually
