Own estimating and execution end-to-end—use your utilities expertise to sharpen strategy, win better work, and deliver profitable projects.
This role may also be known as: Electrical Construction Project Manager | Senior Electrical PM | Electrical Operations Project Manager
If you're an experienced electrical construction leader who wants more than just project oversight—if you want strategic influence, operational ownership, and the ability to directly impact profitability—this is a career-defining opportunity.
We’re hiring a Senior Electrical Project Manager for a rapidly growing, highly profitable electrical contractor known for delivering complex commercial, institutional, industrial, and healthcare projects. This role offers the rare opportunity to own both the front-end and back-end of major electrical projects: helping sharpen estimating strategy, win the right work, and then execute those projects successfully in the field.
This is not a transactional PM seat. It’s a high-impact leadership position for someone who wants autonomy, executive visibility, and the opportunity to shape project outcomes from pursuit through closeout in a people-first culture.
What You'll Be Doing
• Independently manage large at-risk electrical construction projects from planning through closeout
• Develop preconstruction plans including drawing/spec review, buyouts, and cashflow projections
• Partner closely with estimating to sharpen project pursuits and improve bid quality
• Build and maintain project schedules while protecting critical path milestones
• Track project financials including budgets, forecasting, invoicing, and revenue recognition
• Monitor labor productivity and implement corrective actions to protect profitability
• Manage contracts, change orders, delay notices, and claims documentation
• Conduct weekly safety audits and reinforce safety-first culture across field teams
• Lead and mentor Project Coordinators, APMs, and PMs
• Build strong client relationships to drive repeat business and satisfaction
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure alignment
What We're Looking For
• 10+ years of experience as an Electrical Project Manager delivering large-scale electrical construction projects
• Experience managing commercial, institutional, industrial, healthcare, or utility-related electrical projects
• Proven ability to independently run at-risk projects from preconstruction through closeout
• Strong financial acumen including forecasting, labor productivity, and budget management
• Experience partnering with estimating/preconstruction teams to validate scope and pricing
• Deep understanding of electrical systems, installation practices, and construction documentation
• Experience with contract administration and change order management
• Demonstrated leadership experience mentoring project teams
• Expert-level Microsoft Excel and strong Microsoft Office proficiency
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
