About the Family:The family is a dynamic New York City household based in the Flatiron area. They are seeking a top-quality nanny who is as enthusiastic about childcare as the family is. The family is looking to welcome a new team member as their family evolves. Their little person will soon be joined by a new baby, presenting an exciting opportunity to care for both an energetic toddler and an infant. The initial primary care responsibilities will be for their energetic toddler.  The family values reliability, warmth, child development and an active lifestyle and is committed to finding a nanny who will fit seamlessly into their daily life.
Key Responsibilities: 

• Provide nurturing, attentive, and professional care for children,  ranging from infant care to addressing toddler developmental needs.
• Any childcare-related tasks cooking/meal prep, cleaning of children's area and open to light housework/tidying
• Candidate should be open to an active lifestyle, including planning and implementing engaging, age-appropriate activities such as outings to the library, park visits when the weather suits, and organizing playdates to stimulate learning and social skills.
• Support and monitor developmental milestones, encouraging early language, movement, and social interaction.
• Manage transitions smoothly, ensuring punctuality and consistency.
• Additional:
• Participate in occasional family travel [including drives or flights], providing an extra layer of adventure for those who enjoy exploring new places.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Hourly Rate: A gross rate of $35 per hour is offered, with overtime (time and a half for hours over 40 per week) paid on a W-2 basis.
• Guaranteed Hours: The nanny will work a minimum of 45 hours per week, with the flexibility to work up to 55 hours as needed.
• Benefits Include:
• Two weeks (10 business days) of paid vacation annually, 5 of which were chosen by the family and five by the nanny.
• Five paid sick days per year.
• A holiday schedule that includes 10 designated holidays (with some paid and options for overtime on select days).
• A monthly MetroCard stipend (approximately $132) for commuting.
• Opportunities for additional benefits, such as a future medical stipend, following a satisfactory review period.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• At least 5 years of professional nanny experience is required, with a proven track record in caring for both infants and toddlers in a fast-paced, urban environment.
• The candidate should be energetic, proactive, and engaging, with the ability to transform routine outings into fun adventures.
• Reliability, punctuality, and adaptability to a flexible schedule are essential.
• Excellent communication skills are required, with a preference for minimal cell phone use during work hours to keep the focus on the children.
• A background in early childhood education or related training is a bonus, though not mandatory.
• The ideal nanny will complement the family’s vibrant style, serve as a positive role model, and integrate seamlessly into the household’s daily rhythm.
