Home Care Assistant – Weston-super-Mare

Shifts: 08:00–18:00 | 11:00–17:00 | 17:00–21:00 (Flexible patterns available)
Contract: Full-time | Part-time | Flexible
Help Someone Rebuild Confidence and Independence at Home Imagine knowing that your care, encouragement, and kindness are helping someone regain their confidence after life-changing circumstances.
As a Home Care Assistant in Weston-super-Mare, you’ll join a small, dedicated team supporting a gentleman recovering from a motorbike accident that led to a below-knee amputation. With your help, he’ll continue rebuilding his independence and enjoying life in the comfort of his own home.
Every visit is an opportunity to bring reassurance, motivation, and a positive presence into his day.
What You’ll Do Each shift offers the chance to make a genuine difference. You’ll:
- Support with personal care routines such as washing, dressing, and hygiene
- Encourage independence as he adapts and builds confidence at home
- Prompt medication safely and accurately
- Offer companionship and reassurance, especially on challenging days
- Assist with meal preparation and light household tasks
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and uplifting home environment

Who You Are You’re a caring, dependable professional who finds joy in helping others achieve their best quality of life. You bring patience, empathy, and a steady sense of reassurance to every situation.
You’ll also have:
- Previous care or support experience
- A full UK driving licence
- The right to work in the UK
- Strong communication skills and a respectful, person-centred approach
