Join a tight-knit commercial real estate team in an ongoing part time Trust Accounting role, with genuine scope to grow into full time over the next 12–18 months.

The role:

• 2 days per week, fixed days: Monday and Tuesday in the office 
• Work alongside two experienced Trust Accountants, including a senior “head” Trust Accountant who is transitioning to 3 days per week from mid‑January.
• Initially part time, with strong likelihood of evolving into a full time Trust Accounting role within 12–18 months for the right, switched-on operator.

Key responsibilities:

• End-to-end commercial trust accounting across sales and leasing transactions.
• Daily receipting, disbursements, reconciliations and audit-ready reporting in line with Victorian trust legislation.​
• Supporting the senior Trust Accountant with month-end processes, compliance and internal controls.
• Liaising with the commercial team around settlements, deposits, arrears and adjustments.

About you:

• Experience in real estate trust accounting, ideally in a commercial environment or mixed portfolio.
• Confident using GOAT trust accounting software, or similar platforms such as RP Office / RP Accounting or other real estate trust systems.​
• High attention to detail, strong numerical accuracy and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
• Team player who enjoys supporting others and is comfortable stepping up as your knowledge grows.

Hours and flexibility:

• Preferred: 2 set days – Monday and Tuesday (to complement existing team coverage).
• Open to 2–3 days per week or considering full time for an experienced Trust Accountant seeking a long-term role.
• Attractive hourly rate/salary package aligned with experience and market conditions in Melbourne trust accounting roles.​
