We’re currently seeking a Speech Pathologist or Senior Speech Pathologist to join our supportive and highly skilled team across Perth. This is a 12‑month contract, with flexibility to work part‑time or full‑time, you can choose your primary location between Mandurah & Bunbury/Vasse and potential to become permanent and/or increase hours for the right candidate.

About the role As part of MSWA’s Allied Health team, you’ll work with adults living with neurological conditions, supporting communication, swallowing and participation in daily life. You’ll deliver evidence‑based, person‑centred supports across community and clinic settings, with the flexibility to tailor your schedule to suit both client and personal needs.
During the week, empower clients to achieve their goals within their local communities. On weekends, enjoy everything the Southwest has to offer — from beaches and coastal walks to wineries, cafes and nearby towns.
Our Speech Pathologists also have opportunities to work with cutting‑edge communication technologies and contribute to life‑changing, innovative practice in neurological care.
Key responsibilities - Conduct comprehensive assessments and provide intervention for communication disorders, including aphasia and dysarthria
- Support clients with modified diets and fluids, collaborating closely with on‑site Dietitians
- Prescribe, implement and support a range of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) options — from communication boards through to apps, tablets and eye‑gaze technology
- Document assessments, therapy plans and client progress accurately
- Educate and empower clients, families and support networks
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to achieve meaningful client outcomes

Essential requirements - Certified Practising Membership with Speech Pathology Australia
- Experience working with adults with neurological conditions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively manage and prioritise a caseload
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with clients, families and multidisciplinary teams
- NDIS Worker Screening Check and completion of NDIS Orientation Module
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- Current C Class driver’s licence
