Hotel: Heartland Hotel Haast
Location: West Coast - 26 Haast-Jackson Bay Road, Haast
Employment Type: Full-time, permanent position
Hours of Work: Guaranteed 30 hours per week, on a rotating roster, including weekends.
Pay Rate: $26.50 - $28.00 per hour
Join our kitchen team. As an integral part of the kitchen operation, you’ll work with fresh local ingredients, gain hands-on experience, and be part of a supportive crew delivering quality dining experiences.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing, cooking, and presentation of high-quality dishes
- Ensuring that all food is served and stored at the correct temperature to meet hotel standards and kitchen guidelines.
- Clean and sanitise work areas, equipment, utensils and dishes.
- Follow all sanitation and hygienic food handling procedures.
- Support the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef in daily kitchen tasks.
Preferred Skills & Experience: - 1-2 years relevant experience in a similar role
- A certificate in Cookery preferred
- A current Food Handling Certificate
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
