Hotel: Scenic Suites & Heartland Hotel Queenstown
Location: 27 Stanley Street, Queenstown 9300
Employment Type: Full-time permanent position.
Hours of Work: Guaranteed 40 hours, on a rotating roster, including weekends (Monday to Sunday), covering morning, evening, and overnight shifts.
Wage Rate: $25 - $27 per hour

This role suits someone with hospitality experience who enjoys working with people, stays calm under pressure and thrives in a busy hotel environment. You’ll be confident handling guest enquiries, assisting with luggage and supporting across reception and guest services, while remaining flexible, reliable and committed to delivering professional service.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Greeting guests at Reception and assisting with guest's luggage
- Attending to guest needs on arrival and departure
- Showing guests to their room.
- Taking a proactive approach to cleaning the reception and public areas
- Answering enquiries from guests about local attractions
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in lobby areas.
- Assisting with administrative tasks such as receiving and sorting mail
- Assisting with light maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, or shifting hotel furniture etc.
- Assisting with other Front Office duties as required by front office manager or hotel manager.
Preferred Skills & Experience: - 1-2 years relevant experience in customer service, or in a hospitality environment
- Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy luggage.
- Positive attitude and willingness to go above and beyond for guests.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
