Hotel: Scenic Suites & Heartland Hotel Queenstown 
Location: 27 Stanley Street, Queenstown 9300
Employment Type: Full-time permanent position. 
Hours of Work: Guaranteed a minimum of 30 hours per week, on a rotating roster, including weekends from Monday - Sunday.
Wage Rate: $26 - $28 per hour

Join our kitchen team in the heart of Queenstown! As an integral part of the kitchen operation, you’ll work with fresh local ingredients, gain hands-on experience, and be part of a supportive crew delivering quality dining experiences this summer.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing, cooking, and presentation of high-quality dishes
• Ensuring that all food is served and stored at the correct temperature to meet hotel standards and kitchen guidelines.
• Clean and sanitise work areas, equipment, utensils and dishes.
• Follow all sanitation and hygienic food handling procedures.
• Support the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef in daily kitchen tasks.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• 1-2 years experience in a similar role is required.
• A certificate at NZQF Level 4, or higher, in Cookery.
• A current Food Handling Certificate.
• Strong passion for food and a desire to learn.
• Flexibility to work a mixture of breakfast and dinner shifts. 
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
