Who are we looking for?
We are currently looking for a highly experienced and disciplined Fabric AME to join our team in Brisbane, QLD. If you’re a proactive, flexible and experienced professional with a drive to succeed, you’re the type of person we would like to welcome onboard.
Your role
In this role, your key responsibilities will include:
- Examine aircraft structures (wings, fuselage, control surfaces) for wear, corrosion, or damage.
- Ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications and aviation standards (FAA, CASA, EASA).
- Repair or replace fabric-covered sections of aircraft (common in older or light aircraft).
- Work on composite panels, honeycomb structures, or fiberglass components.
- Record all inspections, repairs, and modifications in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Diagnose structural issues and implement safe, effective repairs.
- Ensure the aircraft remains airworthy and structurally sound.
- Work closely with engineers, other AMEs, and maintenance teams to maintain aircraft integrity.
The essential requirements - 3+ years experience as Fabric AME;
- Trade Certificate IV (Aeroskills);
- Highly skilled and competent in aircraft electrical system troubleshooting, repair and installation of electrical components.
- Strong team player;
- Ability to follow supervisory direction;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Consistent positive and proactive attitude;
- Passion for safe work practices;
- Valid work visa, i.e. full working rights in Australia;
- Red ASIC card (or ability to obtain); and,
- Current Australian Driver's licence.
