Role Description
Structures AMEs are required to support structural maintenance activities on CH-47 Chinook aircraft in a Defence-regulated environment.
The role involves performing structural repairs and modifications in accordance with manufacturer instructions, including the inspection and replacement of structural components such as repairing cracks, corrosion, or deformation identified during inspections.
You will be responsible for ensuring all structural repairs are completed safely, accurately, and within required timeframes while maintaining strict compliance with aviation safety and maintenance standards.
This position also requires safe handling of tools and materials used in structural repairs and ensuring all repair documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
Essential Requirements
Required Role Experience: Experience performing structural repairs, inspections and modifications on aircraft
Maintenance Qualification / Licence: Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Structures) or equivalent trade qualification – essential
Work Rights: Australian Citizen – mandatory
Security Clearance: Baseline clearance required
Skills: Structural repair, corrosion rectification, component replacement, strong documentation discipline, safe tool and material handling
Attitude: Safety-focused, reliable, detail-oriented, strong communicator, team player
