First National Bank of Omaha is looking to fill a Developer, Technology position in Omaha, NE (May telecommute part of time from home residence within Omaha, NE MSA). Bachelor's degree (foreign equivalent accepted) Computer Science, Engineering, M.I.S., or a related field and two and one-half years' experience as a data engineer, analyst, programmer or a related occupation. Experience must include the following specific skills and experience:
- 5 years' experience in an IT support environment with technical experience in data engineering or similar role
- 5 years' experience working with multiple operating systems, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), various Linux distributions, Ruby, Powershell and Microsoft Windows environments
- 5 years' experience implementing automated solutions through Chef, or Inspec
- 5 years' experience in collecting, analyzing, and preprocessing large datasets for AI and machine learning model training
- 5 years' experience orchestrating and scheduling solutions to build CI/CD pipelines
- 5 years' experience in writing automation workflow procedures in JavaScript
- 5 years' experience leveraging Python to build integrated solutions and automate data pipelines
- 5 years' experience working with production level codebases version controlled with Git or similar tools
- 5 years' experience with SSIS
- Experience in database technology (SQL Server)
- Experience in Data Presentation and Visualization for reporting using Python and Bootstrap to create dashboards
- Experience in extracting and loading data from multiple source systems into any cloud platform
- Current Cloud Certification in Data warehousing technologies are preferred
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Champion automation efforts within the database engineering and daily practices
- Participate in and provide Subject Matter Expert support
- Must be available to participate in on-call rotation
As an AWS & Snowflake data developer on the EBI team, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and maintenance of our data pipelines and infrastructure. This includes working with business stakeholders to understand their data needs, architecting data solutions using Snowflake and other technologies, developing, and optimizing ETL processes, and ensuring data quality and integrity. You will also be responsible for mentoring and guiding other members of the data engineering team, as well as collaborating with other teams to ensure that our data is accessible and secure. As part of the career path for this role, you will have the opportunity to learn about data Architect, data modeling and presentation, data management tools and support, reporting and visualization tools and more.
Lead the design and development of data pipelines to support business needs, using AWS, Snowflake, Informatica and other technologies. Develop and optimize ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from a variety of sources. Work with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide solutions. Mentor and guide other members of the data engineering team. Collaborate with other teams to ensure data accessibility and security. Monitor and optimize data performance and usage.
