We are seeking a General Manager Portfolio for the University of Melbourne residences under our management. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, student wellbeing and management of our operations team. You will be responsible for both the broad implementation of company policy, as well as promoting and enhancing the customer focus endeavour of the UniLodge business. This is an excellent opportunity to use your leadership and operations management experience to develop a team of high performing staff.
About the Role - Manage the day-to-day operations including the provision of superior customer service, reporting, budgeting, planning, marketing and owner relations
- Manage pastoral care matters & critical incidents, referring residents to community & university support networks
- Recruit, manage and develop a team of high performing employees
- Build and maintain relationships with each key stakeholder group
- Manage all Operating agreements to ensure KPIs established in Agreement are met
- Ongoing property management of apartments - inspections and maintenance requests
- Manage and exceed the financial performance
- Working with University in relation to leasing
- Develop, implement, foster, and manage the Residential Life Program
- Be a member of the first response team and attend to critical incidents outside of office hours
About You - Previous operations management & leadership experience in the accommodation industry
- Strong property management background (required)
- Knowledge of the university environment and ideally previous tertiary studies that have provided the experience to fully understand the complexities of university life
- Previous experience with Property Management Systems (required)
- Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to problem solve and manage conflict
- A focus on service and quality with the passion to deliver outstanding experiences
- National Police Check & Working with Children Checks (required)
