What is Build-to-Rent (BTR)?

The build to rent model in Australia is a new way of renting that offers long-term security and flexible leases, with more options for tenants. Under build to rent, one organisation owns the entire building and the rental units are leased individually.

This single-ownership model allows secure rental terms for residents while providing the benefits of professional property management. BTR offers a premium living experience, including leasing flexibility, an easy move-in process, on-site management and an inclusive range of services and lifestyle amenities to make your apartment feel like home (such as a gym, entertainment areas, outdoor dining and a pool, to name a few!).

Role Overview:

As a Resident Experience Team Member, you’ll be the heart of the community and the first point of contact for residents, guests, and visitors alike. In this role, you’ll champion exceptional customer service while supporting the day-to-day operations of the property.

From welcoming residents at reception to assisting with enquiries, events, and operational tasks, you’ll help create a warm, seamless and memorable living experience.

This is an exciting opportunity to bring energy, empathy, and authenticity to a design-led BTR community - helping foster a place where residents feel supported, connected, and truly at home.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Operate the front desk reception with professionalism and warmth, handling enquiries promptly, cheerfully, and with purpose.
• Assist prospective residents, in-house residents, and guests with efficiency, empathy, and a “We Care” mindset.
• Support resident onboarding, move-ins, move-outs, renewals, and general tenancy enquiries in line with NSW legislation.
• Coordinate maintenance requests and liaise with contractors, cleaners, security, and building partners to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Take ownership of resident issues and follow them through to resolution, escalating concerns around safety and wellbeing where required.
• Assist with leasing activities and resident events when requested, helping showcase the premium BTR lifestyle on offer.
• Assist with administrative, financial, and reporting tasks to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficient front-of-house operations.

Zetland is an urban oasis - a design-led Build to Rent community located just 5km south of the Sydney CBD. About You: 

With experience in Build-to-Rent, property, hotels, or a customer-focused environment, you bring a natural service mindset and a genuine passion for creating meaningful resident experiences.

You’re a confident and articulate communicator, detail-oriented, and proactive in your approach to problem solving.

You thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities with ease, and take pride in exceeding service standards and performance KPIs.

You also hold:

• A valid National Police Check
• Valid working rights
• Valid & Current Assistant Agent or Class 2 NSW Real Estate licence.
