Your New Role:

As Maintenance Manager, you will take ownership of the day-to-day maintenance and facilities operations across the property. You will balance time on the tools with planning, coordination, and team leadership, working closely with the General Manager to ensure the building runs safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
  
From preventative maintenance programs to overseeing contractors, apartment turnovers, and sustainability initiatives, this role offers breadth, responsibility, and a clear pathway to grow your leadership career.
  
What you will do:

• Lead all building and apartment maintenance across plumbing, electrical, plant & machinery, carpentry, painting, and general repairs
• Implement and manage preventative maintenance programs and compliance activities
• Coordinate contractors, warranties, and defect liability periods (DLP)
• Oversee apartment departures, make-good works, and turnover timelines
• Monitor budgets, energy usage, stock levels, and P&L performance.

Skills & Experience Required:
  
To succeed at WeAreLiving Queens, you’ll bring a strong technical foundation along with a genuine commitment to quality, safety and resident experience:

• Trade qualified (Electrical, Plumbing or Mechanical Engineering preferred)
• A confident communicator with a practical, solutions-focused approach
• Highly organised, safety-driven and comfortable managing competing priorities
• Equally at ease working hands-on on site and managing systems, contractors and reporting
• Current driver’s licence (Class C preferred)
• Unrestricted working rights in Australia
• Valid National Police Check
