The Opportunity: Resident Experience Manager – WeAreLiving Preston
Join us as we open our new Preston community in Melbourne’s North. As Resident Experience Manager, you will lead and inspire, ensure the highest standards of resident experience across the property, and oversee daily operations. You will play a key role in driving performance, operational excellence, and resident satisfaction, while championing community engagement and innovative initiatives that strengthen the WeAreLiving brand.
This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership skills, operational experience, and a passion for delivering premium customer service in a property or community environment.
Your Impact
As Resident Experience Manager, you will:
- Create a warm, supportive, and memorable experience for all residents, visitors, and prospective residents, fostering a genuine sense of community and belonging.
- Deliver exceptional front desk service by responding to enquiries promptly, professionally, and with a friendly, solutions focused “We Care” attitude.
- Support residents with day-to-day needs, tenancy enquiries, wellbeing concerns, and general assistance throughout their residency.
- Champion the Resident Community Engagement Plan by curating and delivering a vibrant events program that enhances resident experience, satisfaction, and retention.
- Drive ancillary income through the development and implementation of services aligned to property demographics and resident needs (e.g. dog walking, in-room services, car detailing), ensuring revenue meets or exceeds budget targets.
- Collaborate closely with the Marketing Manager to execute the annual marketing plan, supporting occupancy targets, brand positioning, and the collection of resident testimonials.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting to the GM on resident event participation, photography, outcomes, and strategic objectives, providing insights to support continuous improvement and decision-making.
- Oversee all front-of-house and community operations, ensuring consistently outstanding service for residents, prospective residents, and visitors.
- Maintain and continuously enhance the property app to maximise resident engagement, satisfaction, and ancillary income opportunities.
- Foster a friendly, inclusive, and supportive community by building strong relationships with residents and local suppliers to enhance events and services.

WeAreLiving – Preston Located just 10km from the Melbourne CBD and positioned on Time Out’s Best High Street in the World, We Are Living Preston is a design-led, amenity-rich BTR community. About You
You are a confident, approachable, and experienced leader with a strong background in property management or customer-facing roles. You have the skills to manage a team, oversee operations, and drive exceptional resident experiences.
You will bring:
- Property experience within residential, commercial, or retail property (or strong transferable experience)
- Leadership and team management experience
- Excellent customer service skills and a people-first approach
- Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving abilities
- Attention to detail and operational focus
- Familiarity with rental processes and legislation (or willingness to learn)
- Class 1 or Class 2 Licence to conduct Real Estate business in VIC preferred, Assistant Agent Certificate at a minimum
- Unrestricted Australian working rights
- Current National Police Check
- A positive mindset that inspires your team and residents
