Role Overview: As Operations Manager (After Hours), you’ll take the lead in delivering safe, high-quality after-hours services across the UniLodge @ ANU portfolio. You’ll manage and mentor a team of Community Support Officers, coordinate rosters, and ensure service standards and operational goals are consistently achieved. In times of critical incidents, you’ll be a steady and supportive presence – guiding your team and stepping in when required to maintain smooth and responsive operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, roster and mentor a large team of Community Support Officers, providing hands-on support during after-hours operations.
- Collaborate with day team divisions, external partners, and key university personnel to ensure smooth operations and effective communication across all departments
- Champion resident wellbeing and safety by responding to incidents, managing concerns, and escalating issues when needed.
- Take ownership of after-hours operations, ensuring smooth building management and a consistent, high-quality resident experience.
- Coordinate emergency responses, including evacuations and first aid, while working closely with emergency services and campus security.
- Maintain accurate reporting and compliance, logging all incidents, following escalation processes appropriately and ensuring service standards and KPIs are consistently met.
Our Ideal Candidate: As an experienced leader with a background in operations or facilities management, you will have a proven track record in building strong relationships with key stakeholders, managing large teams and delivering exceptional care to residents. More about you:

- Unrestricted Working Rights in Australia
- High level problem-solving skills, with a heavy solutions-based focus, and the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Proficient in incident management, including escalation and coordination with emergency services
- Passionate about resident wellbeing and safety – with a proactive and supportive approach towards the residential community.
