What role will you play UniLodge is committed to a high quality and enriched educational, cultural and social experience for all its residents. Accommodation residences play an important role in underpinning the academic and social experience for any student living away from home.
The Residential Life Supervisor (RLS) is responsible for facilitating the creation and coordination of a multi-dimensional and culturally diverse community under the guidance of the Property Manager - Operations, with a particular emphasis on resident wellbeing and ensuring the delivery of the Residential Life and Wellbeing Program. The RLS plays a key role as part of a broader Management team in promoting and advocating for residential wellbeing at the forefront of our business operations. More specifically you will:
- Provide leadership and support in the management and development of the Residential Life and Wellbeing Program
- Provide exceptional service to all residents, staff, university departments, visitors, suppliers, contractors and associated organisations
- Establish and maintain a constructive and productive working relationship with all key stakeholders
- Recruit, train and be responsible for the Residential Advisor teams
This is a permanent full-time position working a 38 hour work week, Monday to Friday. Due to the nature of the role, you may be required to work outside of these hours to assist with events from time to time.
What we’re looking for We are looking for someone with a ‘hands on approach’. You will be energetic, creative, self-motivated, and focused on delivering a memorable student resident experience. In addition to this, you will have:
- Experience in student accommodation, university services or pastoral care
- Strong customer focus and interest in student welfare and enhancing the university experience
- Demonstrated understanding of the many complexities to university life and operational aspects of residential living
- Demonstrated ability to develop new ideas and engaging events, then formulate plans to deliver them
- Experience managing events in line with event budgets
- Desire to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manager time effectively
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Someone who is a natural at building connections and committed to delivering a high quality and enriched educational, cultural, and social experience for residents.
- Possess a current First Aid certification (or willing to obtain)
- Unrestricted work rights in Australia
- National Police Check (completed within last 3 months), at your own cost
- Working with Children’s Check (NSW)
