Our Opportunity:
  
We have an exciting opportunity for a confident and solutions-focused General Manager to join and lead our team at Essence Communities – Melbourne Quarter West. You will take the lead in delivering operational excellence, financial performance, and an exceptional residential experience across a landmark BTR community. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will oversee all aspects of property operations from leasing and compliance to resident engagement and team development.

At a glance, you will:

• Lead all financial aspects of the asset, including budgeting, forecasting, and strategic leasing, with a focus on maximising net operating income and long-term yield.
• Oversee the full scope of property operations, ensuring compliance, risk management, and high standards of presentation and service across the asset.
• Take the lead in bringing the building to life – drive mobilisation activities to ensure a smooth, successful launch and seamless operational start.
• Drive a market-leading resident experience by fostering a sense of community, delivering exceptional service, and implementing feedback-driven improvements.
• Provide clear leadership and mentorship to operational staff, building a cohesive team culture centred on accountability, service excellence, and ongoing development.
• Serve as the primary property based interface between internal leadership, clients, and key partners, delivering transparent communication and aligning operations with stakeholder expectations.

Melbourne Quarter West is a vibrant residential community comprising 797 designed apartments, offering a mix of studio, one, two, and three-bedroom layouts. About You

As a results-driven property professional with 4+ years’ experience, you will have a proven track record in leasing across the residential, commercial, or retail sectors. Utilising your financial acumen and strong stakeholder management skills, you will thrive in this dynamic environment by bringing a strategic approach to both the operation and residential experience. You will also have:

• Unrestricted working rights in Australia
• National Police Check
• Valid Estate Agent’s Licence (VIC)
• Demonstrated track record of exceeding targets and performance KPI’s
• Outstanding communications skills with the ability to curate messaging tailored to the target audience
