Role Description
We’re looking for a Project Manager to support the delivery a major Industrial project worth over $500m. This is a complex, sophisticated project, which is currently in construction phase.
Working alongside the Director, Project Director and Senior Project Manager on this project, you’ll be part of a small team responsible for delivering a critical building for our client.
In other words, you’re far more than “just a number” on this project.
Located in our Sydney office, you’ll be responsible for:
- Contract administration, including responding to RFIs, variations and EOTs.
- Engaging with contractors and consultants, including managing Project Engineers on site.
- Assisting with report writing to monitor progress and inform client decisions.
- Fostering relationships with key stakeholders, providing regular updates as required.
Candidate Profile To be successful in this role, you’ll need demonstrated experience working on building projects in the construction phase. This could be as a Client-Side Project Manager, as a Consultant, or as a Contractor.
The idea with this role is to quickly transform a high-performing Project Manager into a Senior Project Manager within the next 1-2 years. The opportunity for growth in this position is vast.
You’ll also need:
- The ability to understand ‘the big picture’ of what the client is trying to achieve with their project – the reason for the project is critical to the success of the business.
- Strong communication skills and an ability to build rapport with stakeholders.
- High attention to detail and a customer-focused mindset.
- Experience with the construction phases of projects, ideally working on complex projects from the Commercial, Industrial, Fitout or Health sectors.
- A willingness to work as part of the Project delivery team, to deliver outstanding outcomes for clients.
- Qualifications in Project Management, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction, or related discipline.
