Role Description
We’re looking for a confident and motivated Junior Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery a major Industrial project worth over $650M. Located in Western Sydney, this is a complex, sophisticated project which is currently in the construction phase.
Working alongside a team of Project Managers, Senior Project Managers, Project Directors and the Associate Director, you’ll be part of a team responsible for delivering a critical building for our client. In other words, you’re far more than “just a number” on this project.
Due to the high-profile, 'one of a kind' nature of this particular project, this role will ensure that your career is quickly catapulted beyond your peers as you receive mentorship and invaluable guidance from some of the industry's top leading experts within this field.
Digital & AI‑Enabled Project Support
The project is actively exploring and trialing the use of AI‑enabled tools to support and enhance core project management functions. This includes assisting with activities such as report preparation, meeting minutes, project registers, and contract administration, as well as identifying opportunities to streamline processes, improve consistency, and enhance productivity across the project lifecycle. The role provides an opportunity to contribute to the responsible adoption of digital and AI‑enabled practices within a structured project governance environment.
Located in our Sydney CBD office, you’ll be responsible for:
- Drafting reports, briefs and other documentation for our Project Managers.
- Assisting with scoping of works and tender processes.
- Assisting with consultant engagement and contractor appointment.
- Assisting with contract management and client invoicing.
- Providing regular updates to stakeholders and building relationships with key international clients.
Candidate Profile To be successful, you’ll need a professional and confident attitude, paired with motivation and a keen eye for detail. Your passion for data and analytics is what will set you apart from other applicants.
The idea with this role is to quickly transform a high-performing Assistant Project Manager to Project Manager within the next 2-3 years. The opportunity for growth in this position is vast.
You’ll also need:
- Qualifications in Project Management, Engineering, Construction, or a related discipline.
- Ideally you will have relevant experience in a similar role within a consulting environment.
- Strong communication skills and an ability to build rapport with busy stakeholders.
- An understanding of contracts administration and AI management.
- High attention to detail and a client-focused mindset.
- A willingness to work with team members and deliver outstanding outcomes for clients.
- Experience with design and construction phases of projects from the Property & Buildings sector is desirable.
