More about this role:
We are currently seeking a Project Planner or a Senior Programmer to join our high-achieving team. This role can be based in any of our main offices and can be undertaken on either a full-time or part-time basis.
Working as part of a specialist planning and integrated project controls team, you will contribute to the development, review and management of complex project schedules across a broad range of major projects. You will provide clear, practical and insightful advice to clients on programme performance, delivery risks, forecast outcomes and opportunities for improvement across all phases of the project lifecycle.
Some of the key responsibilities include:
- Working collaboratively as part of a team which may include PMO, Project Managers, and designers in the creation of the project development strategy.
- Developing and maintaining project schedules from concept planning through to design, procurement, construction and completion.
- Integrating individual schedules into master programmes and supporting programme coordination across multiple workstreams.
- Reviewing contractors’ programmes and assessing methodology, sequencing, logic, constructability and compliance with project requirements
- Preparing clear and professional programme reviews, progress reports and time-related advice for clients and project stakeholders
- Identifying programme risks, delays, opportunities and mitigation strategies, and providing practical recommendations to support project outcomes
- Supporting the analysis of project status and performance through dashboard reporting and digital tools, including Power BI
- Participating in stakeholder meetings and providing planning and programming input across all project phases
- Contributing to schedule assurance, programme governance and broader project controls initiatives where required
More about you… To be successful in this role, you’ll need to demonstrate:
- 5+ years of experience on major construction projects, in a programmer/ planner/ scheduler capacity.
- Proficient in P6 scheduling, Asta Powerproject and/or MS Project.
- Strong analytical capability, with the ability to interrogate programmes and identify risks, gaps and improvement opportunities
- Strong report writing skills, with the ability to communicate technical findings in a clear and professional manner
- Confident communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across multiple project teams and interfaces
- High attention to detail and an outcome-focused mindset
- Experience in a consulting, advisory or client-side environment will be highly regarded
- Qualifications in Project Management, Engineering, Construction, or a related discipline are desirable
