Our partner, a growing logistics and transportation company in Rocky Top, TN, is looking to hire a Regional Fleet Maintenance Manager to join their team!
This is an on-site/full-time/direct hire position Salary range based on experience: Up to $90k with bonus opportunity
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for fully managing the shop team, including answering questions, providing guidance, approving timecards, managing PTO, and handling performance management.
Responsible for troubleshooting and diagnosing complaints in a commercial truck repair environment.
Responsible for the repair and installation of truck/engine equipment.
Responsible for the completion of jobs assigned within the department's established time frame.
Responsible for performing 100% of assigned jobs without assistance.
Responsible for reporting any problems and/or concerns within the service environment to the Regional Terminal Manager.
Responsible for assisting with inspections on equipment and in the work area.
Responsible for controlling parts/inventory, being the main point of contact for drivers for maintenance-related issues, and scheduling all jobs for the shop.
Responsible for attending training classes as required. Study shop/service materials and manuals as they relate to your job.
Required skills:
A high school diploma or GED is required. A combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
ASE Master Heavy Truck Technician Certification, Equivalent Similar Certification, or minimum 5 years of relevant experience in heavy diesel engine work
A minimum of five years' experience in heavy-duty truck/engine repair and installation
A valid driver's license is required. A CDL and DOT medical card is mandatory if the vehicle is to be driven off premises.
Preferred Skills:
Additional training and OEM certifications in heavy-duty truck repair are preferred.
Ability to listen and communicate with co-workers. Must have verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to follow written and oral instructions, solve problems, and operate assigned equipment.
Knowledge of welding, mechanical, and electrical equipment. Knowledge of 12-volt electrical and hydraulic systems.
Ability to read quotes, work orders, inspection forms, and instruction sheets. Ability to perform basic math calculations.
Ability to complete work orders on a computer or mobile device.
