About the Team

The Sydney office of our property practice consists of 6 partners and over 25 staff members and we are currently seeking a Senior Conveyancing Paralegal to work as part of our residential property team, which is headed by Vanya Lozzi, Partner, and Elly Ashley, Partner

The role
This position will see you running off the plan conveyancing for all asset classes (residential, retail, commercial and industrial), residential conveyancing, acting for lenders registering mortgages and attending to discharges and residential leasing work for one of our high profile national clients.
This is a client facing role and you can expect the position to include:
- preparing and issuing sales contracts, negotiating amendments and effecting exchange;
- preparing and issuing periodic reports to our client;
- actioning and filing high volumes of email communication;
- settling sales using PEXA or an equivalent electronic system;
- preparing and registering residential tenancy agreements;
- varying residential tenancy agreements on exercise of an option to renew; and
- managing off the plan development projects
Your skills and experience To undertake this role you must have a high attention to detail and have a disciplined and methodical approach to your work and you will need to have the following qualities:
- be able to work effectively in a team and being a dependable team member;
- an ability and willingness to consistently follow procedures;
- be comfortable with a high volume workload;
- be confident running your own conveyancing files with limited supervision;
- be familiar with PEXA ;
- understand conveyancing procedures and lease registration procedures in NSW; and
- take a professional approach in everything you do.
Whilst not essential for the role an understanding of conveyancing in QLD and familiarity with the use of option deeds and display village deeds would be desirable.
