Welder | Paraburdoo, WA | 2:1 Roster | Approx. $80/hr

Engineering Trades Australia are currently seeking an experienced Welder to join our client's team in Paraburdoo, WA on a 2:1 roster.

This is a great opportunity for a skilled Welder looking for ongoing work in the Pilbara, with competitive rates of approximately $80 per hour.

THE ROLE
You will be responsible for carrying out welding, fabrication and repair work across site, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform welding and fabrication works across site
• Complete repairs, maintenance and structural fabrication as required
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Carry out MIG, TIG and/or ARC welding as required
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance
• Identify and report any defects or issues
• Maintain welding equipment, tools and work areas
• Work closely with Boilermakers, Fitters and other trades
• Follow all site safety procedures and requirements

ABOUT YOU
To be successful, you will have:

• Relevant Australian welding/boilermaking trade qualification
• Demonstrated welding experience, preferably within mining or heavy industry
• Strong fabrication and welding skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• High level of attention to detail and workmanship
• Strong commitment to safety
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Relevant mining tickets and site experience will be highly regarded
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
