Seeking experienced Boilermakers and Heavy Fabricators for ongoing workshop opportunities within the mining and heavy manufacturing sector.

These roles are suited to trade qualified Boilermakers with strong fabrication and flux core welding experience who are confident working with large mining components, wear products and heavy steel structures.

About the Role
You will be responsible for the fabrication, repair and refurbishment of heavy mining and industrial components, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out heavy fabrication, welding, repairs and modifications
• Perform flux core welding (FCAW) on heavy steel components
• Fabricate and repair mining and industrial equipment
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and welding specifications
• Complete cutting, grinding, fitting and preparation work as required
• Conduct quality inspections on completed work
• Maintain high safety and quality standards
• Work collaboratively with the wider workshop team to meet production targets

About You To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• A recognised Boilermaker or Fabrication trade qualification
• Strong hands on flux core welding experience
• Previous heavy fabrication experience
• Experience working within mining, manufacturing, foundry or heavy industrial environments
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Strong commitment to safety, quality and teamwork
• Reliable attitude and willingness to contribute to a long term team
• Ability to successfully complete a practical weld test

Shift Details
Day Shift: 7:00am to 3:00pm
Afternoon Shift: 3:00pm to 11:00pm

All successful candidates will commence on day shift with the potential to transition to afternoon shift as required.

• Interview and trade competency review
