Engineering Trades Australia are currently seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters for an ongoing workshop based role in Brisbane.
Working with a reputable engineering and fabrication business, you will be responsible for the assembly, installation, maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment used across a variety of industrial projects.
This is an excellent opportunity to secure stable long term work with consistent hours and a supportive team environment.
DUTIES INCLUDE
Mechanical assembly and installation of equipment
Maintenance and overhaul of pumps, valves and gearboxes
Alignment of mechanical components and rotating equipment
Fault finding and equipment repairs
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
Pipe fitting and flange assembly work as required
General workshop fitting activities
Operating hand and power tools
Maintaining quality, safety and production standards
Working effectively within a team environment

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Trade Qualified Mechanical Fitter
Previous workshop or industrial maintenance experience
Experience working on pumps, valves, gearboxes and rotating equipment
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Strong mechanical aptitude and fault finding skills
Pipe fitting experience highly regarded
Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively within a team
DESIRABLE
Forklift Licence
EWP Licence
Working at Heights
Confined Space
Experience within manufacturing, mining, oil and gas or heavy industry environments
