Pipe Fitter - Brisbane Workshop Engineering Trades Australia are currently recruiting experienced Pipe Fitters for a busy Brisbane based workshop.
This is an excellent opportunity to secure ongoing work with consistent hours in a professional workshop environment, working on a variety of industrial piping projects.
THE ROLE As a Pipe Fitter, you will be responsible for the fabrication, assembly and installation of industrial piping systems, ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
Duties may include:
Reading and interpreting isometric and technical drawings
Measuring, cutting and preparing pipework
Pipe spool fabrication and fit up
Flange alignment and bolt up
Preparing pipework for welding
Working with carbon steel and stainless steel pipe systems
Pipe assembly and installation
General workshop fabrication activities
Using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
Maintaining quality, safety and production standards

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Trade qualified Pipe Fitter or equivalent experience
Strong pipe fitting and fabrication background
Experience reading isometric drawings
Experience with carbon steel and stainless steel pipework
Workshop or industrial project experience
Strong commitment to safety and quality
Reliable and able to work effectively within a team
