Job Title: Customer Contact Advisor
Type: 3 months temp
Location: Eastleigh
Salary: £15.27 - £19.84 an hour
Hours: 37 hours a week
 
BRC are working closely with a housing organisation who are looking for 10 Customer Contact Advisors to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous customer service or call centre experience who is passionate about delivering a professional, empathetic and efficient service.
 
This role involves providing a frontline customer service to residents across telephone, face-to-face and digital channels. You will take ownership of enquiries, identify the best solutions and aim to resolve issues promptly, ensuring every customer receives a consistent and high-quality service.
 
Duties:

• Handle customer enquiries across telephone, face-to-face and digital channels, taking responsibility for resolving issues wherever possible.
• Diagnose reports of maintenance, defects and planned repairs, raising repair orders, arranging inspections and booking appointments.
• Liaise with contractors to ensure repairs are completed effectively.
• Respond to anti-social behaviour concerns, providing advice, recording information and confirming details to residents in writing.
• Deal with tenancy-related enquiries and requests.
• Respond to rent enquiries, confirm account balances and arrears, and help residents establish repayment arrangements.
• Arrange appointments for surveyors, housing officers, income officers and contractors.
• Follow up on complex enquiries to ensure they are resolved to the required standard.
• Complete administrative tasks, maintain accurate customer records and update internal systems.
• Identify customer vulnerabilities and individual needs to ensure an appropriate and inclusive service is provided.
• Keep up to date with policies, procedures and service information.
• Identify and suggest improvements to customer service processes.

Requirements:

• Previous call centre experience or similar frontline customer service experience.
• Evidence of meeting customer contact handling targets.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with empathy and the ability to take ownership of customer enquiries.
• Ability to remain calm and professional when dealing with challenging situations.
• Ability to adapt communication styles to meet individual customer needs.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to work to scheduled timescales and rotas.
• A customer-focused approach, with a commitment to delivering a consistent and professional service.
