Responsibilities

• Lead and develop freight brokerage sales strategy to drive revenue growth and market expansion
• Manage, mentor, and motivate brokerage sales representatives and account managers
• Identify and secure new shipper opportunities through prospecting, networking, and relationship development
• Expand existing customer accounts through cross-selling and strategic account management
• Collaborate with operations and carrier sales teams to ensure exceptional service execution
• Develop pricing strategies, RFP responses, and customized transportation solutions
• Monitor sales metrics, KPIs, margins, and profitability performance
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, carriers, and industry partners
• Stay current on transportation market trends, capacity conditions, and competitive activity
• Participate in customer meetings, industry events, and sales presentations
• Assist with forecasting, budgeting, and sales reporting initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent industry experience
• 5+ years of freight brokerage, transportation, or 3PL sales leadership experience
• Proven success growing freight brokerage revenue and managing customer relationships
• Strong understanding of truckload, LTL, intermodal, and supply chain solutions
• Experience leading and developing high-performing sales teams
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
• Strong organizational and strategic planning abilities
• Proficiency with CRM systems and transportation management software (TMS)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience selling or brokering food, refrigerated, or agricultural freight
• Existing carrier and shipper relationships in relevant markets
• Experience hiring and leading a sales team

Work Environment

• Office-based in Lincoln, Nebraska, with travel required for sales activity
• Collaborative environment with direct access to operations and leadership
