Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Commercial Credit Analyst II to support a well-established financial institution within the banking and commercial lending industry. This role is responsible for underwriting and credit analysis of commercial real estate (CRE), multifamily, and commercial/business loan transactions. The ideal candidate will have experience evaluating financial risk, reviewing complex financial documentation, and supporting lending decisions within a fast-paced banking environment. This position works closely with senior credit leadership, loan officers, and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and compliant credit recommendations.
Responsibilities and Duties
Perform underwriting and credit analysis for commercial real estate, multifamily, and business loans
Evaluate financial feasibility and credit risk associated with lending opportunities
Review and analyze loan applications, financial statements, tax returns, appraisals, environmental reports, and supporting documentation
Prepare and review Credit Approval Memorandums (CAMs)
Conduct collateral cash flow analysis, debt service coverage ratio (DSCR) calculations, rent roll reviews, lease analysis, and review of purchase agreements
Ensure loan packages comply with internal credit policies and underwriting standards
Present loan recommendations and findings to senior credit leadership and lending committees
Identify and communicate material risk factors, discrepancies, or deviations discovered during underwriting and due diligence
Maintain communication with loan officers and customers regarding transaction status, documentation requests, and issue resolution
Support quality control initiatives, loan review processes, and additional underwriting projects as needed
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial banking, lending, underwriting, or related financial analysis roles
Experience with commercial real estate (CRE), multifamily, or commercial/business lending preferred
Strong understanding of financial statement analysis and credit risk evaluation
Ability to review and interpret tax returns, cash flow statements, and supporting financial documentation
Bilingual English/Spanish required due to client demographics
Ability to work flexible hours during peak business periods
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred
