DESCRIPTION: A growing organization in the insurance and benefits industry is seeking a motivated and bilingual Manager, Group/Benefits Sales to support the expansion of its employer-facing group benefits distribution channel. This role is ideal for a consultative sales professional with strong experience in group benefits, employer relationship management, and broker partnerships. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing new group accounts, managing existing employer relationships, and presenting tailored benefits solutions to small and mid-size employers.
The Manager, Group/Benefits Sales will work closely with commercial leadership, carriers, brokers, benefit consultants, and internal teams to deliver a smooth and professional experience for employer groups and their employees. This position requires strong communication skills, a customer-first mindset, and the ability to build trusted relationships in both English and Spanish.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prospect, develop, and close new group accounts with small to mid-size employers.
Manage and grow an existing book of group accounts through proactive relationship management, renewals, and coverage reviews.
Present group benefits solutions, including medical, dental, vision, life, and ancillary products, to employers and HR decision-makers.
Build and maintain relationships with brokers, benefit consultants, and employer groups to expand distribution opportunities.
Collaborate with carriers and internal teams to develop competitive proposals and benefit plan designs.
Guide employers through the enrollment process, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and a smooth onboarding experience.
Support employees and HR contacts with benefits questions, claims assistance, and policy inquiries as needed.
Track pipeline activity, account status, and sales performance using CRM tools and internal reporting systems.
Stay current on group insurance products, industry trends, and regulatory requirements through ongoing training.
Communicate effectively in both English and Spanish with employer groups, broker partners, and internal stakeholders.
Apply strategies learned through company-provided training while consistently working toward sales targets.
Support departmental and company goals through professional collaboration and consistent performance.
Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
3+ years of experience in group benefits, employee benefits sales, or a related insurance role.
Active Life & Health insurance license required.
Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish, written and verbal, required.
Strong consultative sales skills with a customer-first mindset.
Proven ability to manage a sales pipeline and close group accounts.
Excellent communication and presentation skills with employers, HR teams, and brokers.
Proficiency with CRM platforms and standard office technology.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
Proactive, reliable, and collaborative, with the ability to work independently.
Must be located in or willing to commute to the Doral/Miami area for an in-person role.
