What’s the Brief?
We’re partnering with a global company going through an exciting period of expansion. They’re looking for an Employment Compliance Manager who can bring structure, strategy, and clarity as the business continues to grow.
You’ll focus on the APAC region while collaborating with global HR teams, offering both regional ownership and international exposure. This is an environment where People & Culture is viewed as a strategic enabler, and where compliance is seen as a key driver of ethical, sustainable growth, not just a box to tick.
Is This Your Perfect Match?
Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you’ll take the lead on all things employment compliance. You’ll be owning frameworks, advising the business, interpreting legislation, and acting as a trusted partner across HR, Legal, and Risk. This is a standalone role, giving you the autonomy to build compliance frameworks from the ground up. You’ll be the go-to for audits, policy updates, investigations, and training and the kind of person who can break down complex legal concepts into clear, actionable guidance for leaders across the business.
Your Impact
• Build and own a global employment compliance framework.
• Review award rates and ensure store-level compliance across APAC.
• Lead internal audits and investigate compliance-related incidents.
• Monitor changes in legislation and manage the policy review cycle.
• Partner with Legal and Risk on strategic workforce changes (M&A, restructures, expansion).
• Design and deliver training across the business to lift awareness and capability.
Your Tools for Success
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
• In-depth experience in employment compliance, HR compliance, or employment law in a multinational or highly regulated environment.
• Demonstrated experience in building compliance frameworks and interpreting legislation, preferably in a fast-paced, multi-region setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to explain legal or technical issues clearly to non-legal audiences.
• Ability to lead compliance initiatives, prioritise tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Skilled in managing investigations and resolving complex compliance issues.
The Perks:
• Free car parking
• Regular social events
• Generous product discounts
• Work directly with an influential CPO
• Opportunity to own and shape the function
