About the Opportunity
A professional services business based in Perth is looking for a motivated Accounting & Finance Intern to join its team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting or finance student/recent graduate who wants to move beyond university theory and gain practical experience in a professional Australian business environment.
The host company is committed to training and developing interns and is particularly interested in candidates who are eager to learn, take initiative and build practical accounting and finance skills.
Strong-performing interns may also be considered for future employment opportunities at the company's discretion.
 
Key Responsibilities
Depending on your experience and learning objectives, you may assist with:

• Day-to-day accounting and finance activities
• Accounts payable and accounts receivable support
• Preparing and maintaining financial records
• Bank and account reconciliations
• Data entry and financial documentation
• Assisting with reports and spreadsheets
• Supporting general bookkeeping activities
• Reviewing financial information for accuracy
• General administrative support to the accounting team

Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:

• Is currently studying or has recently completed a qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field
• Is looking to gain practical Australian accounting experience
• Has basic knowledge of accounting principles
• Is comfortable using Microsoft Excel
• Has strong attention to detail and numerical skills
• Is organised, reliable and willing to learn
• Communicates professionally and works well within a team

Previous professional accounting experience is not required. This internship is designed to provide practical learning and industry exposure.
