About the role:
Arrotex is seeking a commercially driven and strategic National Business Manager to lead the Sigma Healthcare account, including key pharmacy banners Chemist Warehouse, Amcal and DDS, across our growing OTC portfolio.
This is a senior commercial leadership role with responsibility for shaping and delivering the strategic direction of one of Arrotex’s most significant national pharmacy partnerships. You’ll lead the Sigma Healthcare relationship across Chemist Warehouse, Amcal and DDS, driving long-term growth, profitability and mutually beneficial commercial outcomes across our OTC portfolio.
You’ll own the overarching customer strategy and Joint Business Planning process, lead complex commercial negotiations and influence decisions across pricing, promotions, category growth, innovation and new product launches. Working with senior customer stakeholders and Arrotex leadership, you’ll align cross-functional teams behind a clear commercial agenda and identify opportunities to accelerate growth.
This opportunity is ideally suited to an experienced National Business Manager or senior commercial leader from FMCG, consumer healthcare or pharmacy who brings strong commercial acumen, strategic customer leadership and experience managing large, complex national accounts.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Lead and grow the Sigma Healthcare account across Chemist Warehouse, Amcal and DDS, developing and executing customer strategies aligned with both Arrotex and customer priorities.
- Own the account’s commercial performance, delivering net sales, gross margin and profitability targets across monthly, quarterly and annual periods.
- Develop and lead Joint Business Plans and long-term growth strategies, identifying opportunities across portfolio expansion, category growth, innovation and new product launches.
- Lead senior-level commercial negotiations and customer agreements, including trading terms, pricing, rebates, promotional investment and contractual commitments.
- Build strong relationships with senior Sigma and banner stakeholders, positioning Arrotex as a strategic partner and identifying opportunities to create mutual value.
- Lead cross-functional alignment across Sales, Marketing, Category, Finance, Supply Chain and Commercial teams to deliver customer initiatives, launches and strategic priorities.
- Provide leadership and direction to the National Account Managers supporting the Sigma account, ensuring customer strategy is translated into strong execution and measurable results.
- Drive account performance through robust forecasting, business analysis and performance reviews, proactively identifying risks, opportunities and corrective actions.
- Maintain strong commercial governance and ensure all account activity is delivered in line with Arrotex policies, contractual obligations and compliance requirements. Skills & Experience:
Key Skills and Requirements - 5–10+ years in national sales and key account management roles in Pharmacy and/or Grocery channels - specific experience working with pharmacy consumer brands.
- Strong commercial and strategic acumen, with experience in business development, major negotiations, and joint business planning.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including team management across head office and field sales environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders both internally and externally.
- High-level analytical and problem-solving ability, with experience in evaluating promotional activity and trade spend effectiveness.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and internal systems such as CRM, business intelligence, and pharma data tools.
- Skilled in using data and insights from sources like Nielsen, IRI, or Kantar to support decision-making and strategy.
- Collaborative team player with a proactive, self-starter mindset, able to work cross-functionally and independently.
- Tertiary qualifications in marketing, business, or a related field is highly regarded.
- Willingness and ability to travel, both domestically and internationally, with a valid Australian Driver Licence.
