About the role:
The Marketing Specialist conducts international market research and analysis of expansion opportunities into new markets. The CDA plays a critical role in understanding the opportunity, the barriers to overcome and providing valuable insights in the recommendation of expansion plans.
The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for sourcing, reviewing and analysing data, to form insights and recommendations that support potential international market entry plans. They will work collaboratively across the business, leaning on functional experience within the commercial team to build their understanding of new market potential.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Analyse key categories to determine size, value, performance, penetration, e.g., cosmetics, personal care.
- Analyse brand landscape, assessing key competitors’ presence, market share, product offering, distribution, performance, price positioning & marketing activity.
- Analyse retail trade structure, concentration, market share, benchmarks, shopper profiles, compliance. Identify the influence / decision making structure, and retail margin expectations within cosmetics & personal Care categories.
- Benchmark how comparable brands resource e.g., sales team, field merchandising teams.
- Use the analysis to prepare a market assessment report, including recommendations.
- Identify Sales agency / Brokers in market, with category experience in Cosmetics and Personal Care. Understand costs.
- Investigate how comparable brands distribute their product to the retail channels in market (physical & online stores).
- Explore various route to market models for Arrotex products, including an assessment of the costs / pros & cons for various models.
- Identify partners who can help shape, build the route to market model e.g., distributors, agencies, brokers.
- Use the analysis to prepare a route to market assessment report, including recommendations.
Skills & Experience: - 1-3 years relevant experience
- Ability to analyse market research & reports, to find data & clues across several sources, that when combined, will form recommendations.
- Comfortable working without all the facts, able to use personal judgement & check with others to fill knowledge gaps where needed.
- Ability to prepare the information gathered into a report that informs market development decisions, using facts & data to support findings.
- A free thinker, keen entrepreneurial spirit, deep curiosity to get to the facts that will build the story & recommendation.
- A high degree of personal perseverance, there will be ‘dead ends’. · Excellent skills in Microsoft Office 365 including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive, Forms, etc.
