Job Title: Interior Designer

Salary: €40,000 - €55,000 p.a.
 
Overview:
 
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Interior Designer with 5-8 years of post-graduate experience to join our client's dynamic Barcelona studio. This is a key role dedicated exclusively to delivering high-profile international luxury projects, including bespoke residential, high-end retail, and luxury hospitality interiors.
 
The Role:
 
You will be responsible for supporting the entire design cycle, from concept creation through to FF&E procurement and site handover, ensuring alignment with global sustainability goals and brand identity. This role demands a passion for luxury service, cross-cultural communication, and advanced digital workflow proficiency.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 

• Full Design Cycle: Support all interior design phases (Concept, Schematic, Detailed Design, Construction Drawings, FF&E, Shop Drawings).
• Design Alignment: Ensure alignment with client brief, brand identity, and global sustainability goals.
• BIM Implementation: Develop BIM-integrated interior models (LOD 200-300) in Revit + Autodesk Construction Cloud.
• Coordination: Coordinate remotely with architecture, MEP, lighting, and AV teams.
• Visualisation: Create mood boards, material palettes, space plans, and photorealistic renderings.
• Tools: Proficient use of 3ds Max, V-Ray, D5 Render, Enscape, or Twinmotion for presentations.
• AI/Generative Concepts: Leverage AI-driven tools (Midjourney, Veras, PromeAI, TestFit) for concept and layout optimisation.
• FF&E Packages: Prepare FF&E specifications, schedules, BOQs, and procurement packages.
• Sustainable Sourcing: Focus on sustainable, high-performance materials (Cradle to Cradle, FSC, low-VOC, EU Ecolabel).
• Detailing: Support parametric detailing (Grasshopper/Dynamo basics) for custom joinery and curved surfaces.
• Documentation: Maintain project documentation (RFIs, submittals, sample approvals) in Aconex or Autodesk Construction Cloud.
• Sustainability Strategies: Contribute to daylight analysis, energy-efficient lighting, circular material loops, and certification pathways (LEED ID+C, BREEAM Refurb, WELL v2).
• Communication: Participate in daily stand-ups and weekly design reviews with international project teams.

 
Required Skills and Qualifications:
 
Experience & Education

• Total Experience: 5-8 years total.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 2-3 years on luxury hospitality, residential, or retail fit-outs.
• International Exposure: International project experience is mandatory.
• Project Cycles: Full involvement in at least 3 complete interior cycles (concept to handover).
• Education: Bachelor's or Master's in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architecture.
• Certifications (Advantage): Certifications in BIM (Autodesk Revit), sustainability (LEED AP ID+C, BREEAM Associate), or WELL are an advantage.

 
Technical Proficiency

• Strong: Revit (Interiors), AutoCAD, Rhino + Grasshopper (basics).
• Proficient: 3ds Max + V-Ray/D5, Enscape, Twinmotion, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Aconex.
• Familiar: Midjourney, PromeAI, TestFit, VR/AR platforms, CET Designer, material specification tools.

 
Standards & Local Knowledge

• Solid understanding of international interior codes and sustainability frameworks (LEED ID+C, BREEAM, WELL, EU Green Public Procurement).
• Experience with high-end FF&E sourcing, bespoke joinery detailing, and lighting design integration.
• Knowledge of Spanish CTE SI (fire safety) and EU accessibility norms (UNE-EN 17161) is essential.

 
Languages

• English: C1 level (mandatory for international coordination).
• Spanish/Catalan: B2+ level (required for studio integration).
