About the role We are seeking a capable Project Manager to join the Group Project Management Office (GPMO) at Standards Australia.
Reporting to the Program Lead, this role is responsible for delivering assigned initiatives across technology-enabled, operational, regulatory and business transformation projects. You will translate business objectives into structured delivery plans and manage projects from initiation through to completion and transition into business-as-usual operations.
Working closely with business owners, analysts, delivery teams and vendors, you will ensure projects are delivered with strong governance, transparency and a clear focus on delivering measurable organisational outcomes.
What you’ll do In this role, you will coordinate and deliver projects across the organisation while ensuring strong governance and delivery discipline.
Key responsibilities include: - Translating approved business cases into structured delivery plans with defined scope, milestones and success measures
- Establishing project governance aligned with organisational delivery frameworks
- Developing and maintaining integrated project plans covering scope, schedule, budget, risks and dependencies
- Managing the day-to-day execution of projects from initiation through to completion
- Monitoring project performance and implementing corrective actions where required
- Maintaining accurate reporting and documentation in line with governance standards
- Identifying and managing risks, issues and dependencies across projects
- Leading stakeholder engagement, communications and readiness activities for project implementation
- Coordinating testing activities including system, integration and user acceptance testing where required
- Managing vendor relationships and monitoring delivery against agreed outcomes
- Supporting transition of projects to business-as-usual operations and contributing to post-implementation reviews
About you You are a delivery-focused project professional who enjoys coordinating complex initiatives and ensuring projects are delivered effectively in structured environments.
You will bring:
- Demonstrated experience delivering technology-enabled or business transformation projects
- Strong knowledge of project management practices and governance frameworks
- Experience developing integrated project plans and managing scope, schedule, budget and risk
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication capability
- Experience coordinating delivery across cross-functional teams
- Experience managing vendors and external partners
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
- Ability to manage competing priorities in dynamic delivery environments
- Relevant project management certification (PRINCE2, PMP or equivalent)
